Terms of Use
Last updated:
These terms are the agreement between you and PixelPaw SRL (CUI RO47434294, Trade Register no. J22/83/2023, Str. Canta 39, Bl. 508, Sc. B, Et. 4, Ap. 15, Iași, Iași County, Romania; “we”, “us”) for your use of the Prayed app and website (“Prayed”). By using Prayed, you accept them. If you don’t, please don’t use Prayed.
1. What Prayed is, and what it isn’t
Prayed is a prayer journal. It helps you name what you’re praying for, pray for it each day, keep a record of your prayers, and read a daily Bible verse with a short reflection.
Prayed does not promise, predict or influence the outcome of any prayer. Nothing in Prayed is a word from God, a prophecy or religious authority.
Prayed is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and it is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number now, or find a helpline at findahelpline.com.
2. Who can use Prayed
You must be at least 16 in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, and at least 13 elsewhere, and able to agree to these terms where you live.
3. Your account
You sign in with Apple. You’re responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your Apple ID secure. You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Account → Delete my account, or from “Welcome back” if your subscription has ended.
4. Subscriptions and purchases
Prayed requires a subscription or a lifetime purchase to use. You can choose:
- Monthly: renews automatically every month
- Annual: renews automatically every year
- Lifetime: a single payment for access for as long as we offer Prayed
Prices are shown in your local currency in the app and on the App Store before you pay, and may vary by country.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Monthly and annual plans renew automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Purchases are processed by Apple under Apple’s terms. Refunds, and any right to withdraw from a purchase that applies where you live, are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- If we change the price of a subscription, Apple will tell you before it applies, and you can cancel before then.
- If your subscription ends, your goals and history stay on your iPhone, so they’re there if you return.
5. Your content
You own what you put into Prayed: your goals, notes, check-ins and recordings.
You give us a limited licence to store and process that content only to provide Prayed to you, as described in our Privacy Policy, including sending the words of your goals to our AI provider to classify your goals and write your daily reflection, if Personalise my verse is on. We don’t claim ownership of your content and we don’t publish it.
Your recordings are kept on your iPhone and in its own backup, never on our servers. We don’t hold a copy. Without a backup, if you delete the app, or reset or lose your phone, they can’t be recovered. To keep a copy of your own, use Settings → Your prayers → Export everything.
6. The daily reflection
The reflection under each verse is written with the help of AI. It is offered as a starting point for your own reading and prayer, not as instruction. It may be incomplete or wrong. Weigh it against Scripture and your own tradition.
7. Acceptable use
Don’t use Prayed to break the law, to harm anyone, to interfere with or reverse-engineer the app or our servers, to get around the subscription, or to try to access anyone else’s data.
8. Our content and trademarks
Prayed, the Prayed name and logo, Clover the lamb, and the app’s design, text and software belong to PixelPaw SRL. You may use the app for your personal, non-commercial use under these terms. Bible texts in Prayed come from public-domain translations or are used with permission.
9. Changes to Prayed
We work to keep Prayed available and reliable, but we may change, add or remove features. If we stop offering Prayed, we’ll post it here before it takes effect, and note it in the app’s update notes.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using Prayed and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where we can, we’ll tell you why first.
11. Warranties and liability
Prayed is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the loss of recordings that were stored only on your device. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Prayed in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Apple
These terms are between you and PixelPaw SRL, not Apple Inc. (“Apple”). If you downloaded Prayed from the App Store:
- Licence. Your licence to use Prayed is non-transferable and limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Support. We, not Apple, are responsible for maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Prayed.
- Warranty. If Prayed fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Prayed. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility.
- Claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to Prayed or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that Prayed fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- Intellectual property. If a third party claims that Prayed or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms, such as your mobile carrier’s terms, when using Prayed.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Questions, complaints or claims about Prayed go to us at the contact details below.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll post any change here, with a new date at the top, before it takes effect, and if a change matters, we’ll also note it in the app’s update notes. If you keep using Prayed after a change takes effect, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, you can cancel and delete your account.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes go to the courts of Romania. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
